“Maybe you can see the sun’s rays through the ocean the moment it dips beneath the horizon!” I said as the sun set behind us while snorkeling. Travis laughed knowing I was teasing his logical, engineer mind. But nothing seemed impossible in those moments. It was the bliss of Jamaica being more than a dream and better than imagination.
During our time in Jamaica we ate breakfast feet away from the ocean while parrots talked in the fruit trees above us. I stepped on a sea urchin and Travis fell in love with jerk chicken at Pushcart. We took pictures of angelfish with a cheap underwater camera bought for our kids. I drank coffee all day and Travis read three books as we spent our days jumping straight into the ocean from our one room Rockhouse on the sea.
