Blue Ridge Parkway. Route 66. Pacific Coast Highway. Transfagarasan. Ring of Kerry. When you list out the most world-famous roads to drive, the Causeway Coastal Route is rarely in the top ten, until Game of Thrones that is. Now, Northern Ireland is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Europe, and the show is estimated to have generated over 17 million pounds in revenue.
The drive starts in Belfast and ends in Londonderry. You can make the entire 120 mile drive, or start and end where you choose. We started at Bushmills, home of the Bushmills distillery and Giant’s Causeway, and ended in Londonderry, a historical walled city rich with history. There are plenty of B&B’s to stay at along the way. Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge are can’t miss destinations.
The Details
