Roaming the Streets of St. Tropez

While in France, St. Tropez often gets missed because of both how far south it is on the Mediterranean and because it is assumed to be for the rich and famous. But this small fishing village is surely a must-see! It has both charm and glitter with boutiques, local craftsmen and a little couture as well. It’s a heartwarming village you won’t want to leave after seeing all of its charm.

We flew into Nice from France’s Bordeaux region, then rented a car and drove down the Mediterranean for our St. Tropez vacation. We stayed at the famous Hotel De Lices and fell head over heels in love with this glamorous little spot.

One must experience L’Escale for a dinner night out. It’s an upscale seafood restaurant that has been in business since Brigitte Bardot made this village famous in the late 1950’s. Some must-see shops are the Dior mansion (just for browsing and utter wow-factor!), K Jacques sandal shop where everything is made in-shop and includes the most beautiful hand crafted sandals I’ve ever seen, and ERES, a swimwear shop you won’t want to miss. For a beach day try Plages de Pampelonne with white sand, crystal clear water, many spots to get a chair, and an umbrella to compliment your aperitif. Follow it up with food on the beach at Cap 21.
